The Monkey-In-Chief
Genius Monkeys was created in 2007 by Patrick Ortman. As a founding partner of Empty Street Productions, Patrick designed and oversaw development of large scale corporate and entertainment websites, portals, and online events for Apple Computer, The Olympics, IBM, Motorola, Cartoon Network, Biotene, Marymount College, Sprite, Major League Baseball, and many others.
Patrick's film & video work has been seen by tens of millions of people on network television, streamed by millions of people through SprintTV and Verizon's VCast mobile networks, seen in a number of high profile film festivals, and downloaded and viewed by millions on video sites such as MySpace and YouTube.
* We chose the name Genius Monkeys because we're smart, creative mammals who play well with others.
What's Your Story?
(A Philosophical Sidebar)
Most design studios don't get that story is everything. The whole purpose of setting up a company website, producing a television spot, or creating a tradeshow video is to tell a story. And not just any story- the right story.
We believe every business has its own story to tell. That story defines who you are and sets expectations from your customers, employees, vendors, and the world at large.
Don’t get us wrong- technology’s great. But we’ve got that covered. Most marketing failures are not failures of technology- they are failures to present a story well-told.
Without story, all the stunning visuals in the world are just noise.
How does one ensure that the right story is being told through your web and video projects? Over the years, we’ve learned that listening to a client and open, honest communication are the key ingredients for success.
So, we listen. Then we ask questions. Then, we listen some more. Then, we blow your socks off with creative projects that exceed your expectations and resonate with your customers.
